Description of project stages on the RatingBot service:

A chatbot was created to determine the public mood of the residents of Odesa as of March 2022, during the martial law in Ukraine.

A chatbot was created to determine the public mood of the residents of Odessa as of March 2022, during the martial law in Ukraine.
1️⃣ The survey is considered to have started from the moment of following the link in the SMS message to the “start page of the project” and getting acquainted with the bot sent to 📲 mobile numbers of respondents, which are generated randomly.
2️⃣ In the next step, the respondent chooses a convenient Telegram or Viber messenger, in which the chatbot simulates a conversation with the interviewer in the form of 💬 “Question-Answer” and in the form of 🎮 game answer options are selected.
3️⃣ All results are automatically sent to the RatingBot server after each answer, which also allows you to get incomplete questionnaire results.
📊 The data set is available in Excel and SPSS formats. One-dimensional distribution tables in the form of 🔢 frequencies and% percent are automatically provided by the service.
🛂 The bot not only controls 🔄 the logic of transitions that are included in the questionnaire, but also automatically manages the filling of 👫 quota task, according to the sample for the project. Thus, 💯% representative result is provided for all categories of respondents.

Research methodology:
- Terms of the study: March 16, 2022;
- The results are representative at the level of the city of Odesa, according to statistics for early 2022, in terms of age (over 18 years) and gender;
- Research method: online survey (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) using the new RatingBot technology, inviting respondents to participate in the survey in Telegram and Viber messengers, based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers;
- Standard deviation of sample representativeness indicators (confidence interval) +/- 2.4%
- The average duration of one interview was up to 2 minutes.

Дослідження було проведено фахівцями кафедри соціології факультету міжнародних відносин, політології та соціології Одеського національного університету ім. І.І.Мечникова 16 березня поточного року. Всього було опитано 2000 респондентів.
Згідно з результатами дослідження, 90,8% одеситів вважають, що Росія веде війну з Україною, не згодні з цим твердженням лише 6,4% мешканців.
81% одеситів не вважають війну «спецоперацією», приблизно така ж кількість містян не згодна з тезою, що вона присвячена звільненню України від націоналістів. Лише 5 % згодні з останнім твердженням.
Також, за даними опитування, 90% мешканців вважає, що Одеса в будь-якому випадку – це частина України. Не згодні з цим 3,4%.
Наразі дії Президента України Володимира Зеленського підтримують 93,4% одеситів. Не підтримують 6,2%.
У якості методу дослідження було застосовано онлайн-опитування (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) з використанням нової технології RatingBot із запрошенням респондентів до участі в опитуванні у месенджерах Telegram і Viber на основі випадкової вибірки мобільних телефонних номерів, а також телефонне опитування (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview) на основі випадкової вибірки мобільних телефонних номерів.
Стандартне відхилення показників репрезентативності вибірки (довірчий інтервал) +/-2%.
За словами Одеського міського голови Геннадія Труханова, результати дослідження – це чітка та аргументована відповідь на фейки та російську пропаганду.
«Ці дані дійсно відображують настрої одеситів. Я бачу це, щоденно спілкуючись із людьми. Бачу, наскільки ми зараз єдині та згуртовані. Я дуже хочу, щоб ці результати побачили російські війська, мешканці росії. І відповіли собі на питання, чи чекають на них тут, в Одесі? Відповідь – ні!» – наголосив мер Одеси.
